Linking your translations during product import

In many cases, you start using the LOCO application at the moment when you already have your own translations (in a certain state and quality - automatic, translated by translators).

LOCO can utilize your translations. From the list of products, you can call up the "Create translation memory" action above the selected products, which will start the "Linking translation" process.

In practice, an analysis is carried out over the source and translated parts of the text (comparison of the number of phrases - texts are broken down into phrases, which are compared and repetitions are searched for).

• At the moment when the number of phrases of the source and translated text corresponds, a so-called TRANSLATION MEMORY is generated from individual phrases.
• The Translation Memory, which was generated using the Linking Translations feature, will start to be used in the translations of new products and the update of translations, where the source phrase matches the translated phrase.

Individual items generated by the Translation Memory can be found in the app in the Menu: Settings -> Translation memory -> Imported texts

<aside> ✅ The translation linking function is disabled by default, and after importing the products, you need to start the "Create translation memory" action above the selected products. Translation Memory is automatically generated during the initial import of your translations.
